I truly dove straight into a reading binge at the beginning of this year. I have been struggling to read The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien, and have decided to put it on a pause for a bit. I don’t know if it’s my headspace or the slower pace but I just cannot get through a chapter without being bored out of my mind. So I jumped into a billion romances to give my brain a break before I picked up anything else.

Book 1: Good Spirits by B.K. Borison

Dang!!! I love them so much! The slow build of tension was shattering and while it didn’t have as much of the community in this book. The two of them were so soul crushing I was fine. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed their banter and I liked that it wasn’t too ghosty. I also enjoyed that it was more Christmas as a setting than a main theme.
Book 2: The Double Play by Annah Conwell

Cute but I felt like this one had so much going on that it felt a little rushed. Like I wouldn’t have minded the story going on a bit longer to flesh out more of their relationship.
Book 3: In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams

I liked how this one followed Sabrina, and I loved the conclusion of a few things that we followed through all 4 books. I think I wanted just a smidge more of something but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
